National Education Association Centennial Program

April, 1957 ten Iowa County teachers were honored for the number
of years they had served in the education profession. One for each town system
and one for rural teachers. They were: Mary Welsh, H.C. Messer, Edna McAdams,
Marguerite Spratt, Roey Butler, Genevieve Burns, Gwendelyn Jones, Ferne Halvarson,
Richard Whalen and Charles Vincent.
